Who will be my child’s tutor?

“ I have always wanted to be a teacher, from when I was a little girl playing schools with my dolls! I just love the process of helping children learn, watching that ‘light-bulb’ moment when they finally understand a new concept or skill. That is why I have been a teacher for over 25 years. However, being a teacher is not just about teaching and with all the additional constraints put upon teachers, I decided that now was the time to set up my own tutoring business and create a learning environment where I can truly make a difference to each and every child”

Where does the name come from?
Primary Planet was the result of several brain-storming sessions where we wanted to create a memorable name that reflected our vision:
Primary Focus: We wanted a name that suggests a strong emphasis on foundational learning and that we specialise in providing essential knowledge to children during their early educational journey.
Positive Imagery: We think it has a friendly and inviting ring to it! The word planet was used to evoke images of exploration, discovery and a world of opportunities for learning. This positive imagery creates images of an encouraging and engaging learning environment.
Global Perspective: The term planet implies a global scope, hinting at the broad educational approach that helps children understand the world around them from a holistic perspective.
Memorability: The name is alliterative, with the repitition of the letter p sound.
Curiosity and Wonder: We hope Primary Planet will spark a sense of curiosity and wonder in both children and parents. It suggests that learning is an exciting journey of exploration, making learning more engaging and fun!
What about the animals?
“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid”
Our inspiration to use animals comes from this famous quote. Just like the creatures of the world, we believe that children are all unique in their needs and talents. We wanted to emphasise our mission to recognise that each child learns differently and this understanding is essential to unlock each and every child’s potential.
